What Is Science?
Science is about research and the scientific method. In other words, it is the study of being curious by examining different aspects of the world through logical hypotheses. At AUPPHS-FA, students study Science through three branches: physics, biology, and chemistry. Students test their critical thinking through these subgenres of science by figuring out ways to support their scientific claims with evidence.
Why Is Science Important In STEAM Education?
The active learning and creativity of science are why it remains essential to STEAM. Since students are diverse and do not always learn similarly, Science provides an appeal in its activities. For example, visual learners can engage with science through charts explaining experiment results. Moreover, students at AUPPHS-FA work as teammates in a collaborative learning environment to solve different scientific challenges together.
