Te Senglong (Academic Year 2022-2023) – Novel, Rewarding, Exciting
Favorite Quote: “[Anything which] is a living and not a dying body… will have to be an incarnate will to power, it will strive to grow, spread, seize, become predominant – not from any morality or immorality but because it is living and because life simply is will to power…” – Friedrich Neitzsche (the Will to Power)
One interesting fact about Senglong is that he has a friendly rivalry against his friend, Chhayly, in calculative games such as chess risk blinds. Apart from his academic achievements, Senglong has helped with many community services and participated in the charity marathon event. His favorite memory at AUPPHS-FA was during the field trip to the Win-Win memorial with his friends and teachers.
During his study here, Senglong found that AP Seminar is one of the subjects he particularly liked because it taught him many skills, such as research and analysis, that are imperative in his future career. He also gained knowledge of international affairs, the different aspects, and ways to approach problems academically. At the same time, with the importance of literature and analytical skills, AP Seminar also helped to prepare him for his university life.
Senglong told us that the subject that challenged him the most was Forms and Space class because it was a completely new subject he’d never studied. Even though learning by playing around with the characteristics of shapes and describing them was perplexing, he could understand this course much better compared to before. After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Senglong plans to pursue his education in Computer Science abroad. As a senior, his message to his juniors is, “Effort will return results. Failure and success breed experience and credit, respectively.”
