Sherin Leo Fernandez (Academic Year 2025-2026) – stressful, overwhelming, memorable
Favorite Quote: “The only people who see the whole picture, are the ones who are step out of the frame.”-Salman Rushdie
An interesting fact about Sherin is that she can practice eight different art forms, both traditional and structured. She was born left-handed but was trained to use her right hand.
Her favorite subject is Khmer, which she enjoyed as an international student because it gave her some free time to explore and experience the language and culture. The most challenging assignment for her was Research, as it required a significant amount of time and effort. She believes Physics and Human Geography prepare her most for life after high school because they are closely related to her future career path.
Outside of school, Sherin continues to take art lessons and occasionally participates in community service activities. Her most memorable experience at AUPPHS-FA was Grade 11, which she describes as a fun and unforgettable year.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Sherin plans to study Product Design in the Netherlands. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Coffee is the secret to surviving school.”
