Meng Limchhaylim (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Pain, sleeplessness, tests
Favorite Quote: “The temperance of life is not about self blame, it’s about moving from the wrong to right, this can help better ourselves.”
An interesting fact about Limchhaylim is that he has worked multiple jobs under different organizations, contributing to community support through food distributions, support groups for people struggling with addiction, community clean-ups, and more.
He enjoys AP Human Geography because it helped him understand how people adapt to changes in their environment and why they make certain choices in response. The most challenging assignment for him was the Research Project, as it required more than just reading and writing – it pushed him to think critically, evaluate information carefully, and choose the right diction to express his ideas clearly. He believes AP Human Geography will prepare him most for life after high school because it helps him understand human behavior, decision-making patterns, and how these choices influence society.
Outside of academics, Limchhaylim has been helping run his family business for as long as he can remember. This experience taught him the importance of connecting with people and that time is often more valuable than monetary gain. His favorite memory at AUPPHS-FA is his English class with Mr. Joseph Carl Dennis. In his lessons, he never felt like he was just completing a course – instead, he learned how to better articulate the English he uses every day and express a wider range of emotions and rhetorical ideas.
After graduation, he plans to pursue postgraduate studies and hopes to major in psychology, as he finds understanding and helping people deeply meaningful. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “He believe that constantly getting out of your comfort zone will help you understand the person you are, and reconsider if chemistry is really the core science subject you want to pick.”
