Senior Student Highlight: Loem Likxi

Loem Likxi (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Bittersweet, nostalgic, and chaotic

Favorite Quote: “Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I just need expert advice.”

An interesting fact about Likxi is that she enjoys taking photos and videos to capture moments with her family and friends. Another interesting fact is that her last name was originally “Lim,” but due to her dad’s messy handwriting on official family documents, it was recorded as “Loem,” and it has stayed that way ever since.

Her favorite subjects are Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. She enjoys them because they help her understand important concepts that will be useful for her future goals, even though she admits having a bit of a love–hate relationship with the subjects. The most challenging assignment for her has been the Research Capstone, which pushed her to work harder than she expected. Despite the difficulty, it helped her grow and taught her how to manage and overcome complex tasks. She believes Microeconomics and Macroeconomics prepare her well for life after high school because she plans to pursue a career in the business field, and these subjects provide a strong foundation.

Outside of school, Likxi has participated in charity marathons, volunteered at various events, joined MUN, and taken part in several competitions and debates. Her junior year stands out as the most memorable time at AUPPHS-FA. She also treasures the small moments during her senior year—field trips, lunch breaks, cheering for each other during sports competitions, stressing together before exams, and simply having fun with friends.

After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Likxi plans to pursue higher education abroad and gain as many internship experiences as possible. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Enjoy your high school year while it lasts. Don’t overwork yourself. Find a good balance between studying and living your life. Make the most of every moment, because one day all of it will become memories you’ll look back on. Do what you truly want to do, and don’t let other people’s opinions hold you back. When high school ends, you don’t want to look back wishing you had done more.”
