An interesting fact about Sokpheng is that he’s addicted to anything fast, if it moves quickly, he probably wants to try it.
He really enjoyed Computer Science during his junior year because it was both fun and engaging (shoutout to Mr. Nakul for making the class even more enjoyable). Research Capstone challenged him the most, as it required extensive reading, writing, and critical thinking. The project pushed him to manage his time better and organize his ideas more carefully, making the experience demanding but ultimately rewarding. Although it was tough at times, he believes it will be beneficial for his future. Microeconomics was another favorite, as it connects directly to his interest in commerce and business. He enjoyed exploring how individuals and companies make decisions and seeing how classroom concepts apply to the real world.
Outside of academics, Sokpheng has participated in multiple charity marathons, allowing him to stay active while giving back to the community. His favorite memories at AUPPHS-FA include cramming for exams, attending charity events, and spending time with friends during breaks and school trips.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, he plans to combine his interest in business with his passion for cars by studying Commerce and building a future in that industry. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Stay calm, drink water, and act like you know what you’re doing, things usually work out… somehow.”
