Liaing Liv (Academic Year 2024-2025) – It’s the end.
Favorite Quote: “If you can’t be the best, best the worst of the worst.” – Kim Junkyu

An interesting fact about Li Aing is that she enjoys cooking—especially while listening to music. The right playlist makes the process more fun and relaxing, and experimenting with new recipes allows her to be creative. Cooking is her way to unwind after a busy day, and sharing meals with friends and family is always rewarding.

Her favorite subject is Khmer history, as it connects her to her roots. Learning about Cambodia’s formation and the Khmer Empire, especially Angkor Wat, fills her with pride. She finds it fascinating to see how Khmer traditions evolved over time and feels deeply moved by the stories of the Khmer Rouge era, which highlight the importance of peace and understanding. The most challenging project for her was the Capstone Project, which required extensive research, critical thinking, and time management. Despite the difficulty, she learned perseverance and sharpened her academic skills.

Beyond academics, Li Aing has been active in extracurricular pursuits. She runs a small business on Facebook called True Beauty, offering beauty treatment services, which has strengthened her entrepreneurial skills and customer service experience. Her favorite school memories are from AP weeks—studying together, bonding with friends, and sharing food during breaks.

After graduation, Li Aing plans to pursue a career in law. She hopes to gain the knowledge and skills to advocate for others and contribute to meaningful change in her community.

Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Don’t keep pushing things off but also don’t forget to enjoy yourself along the way. Waiting until the last minute only makes everything harder, and you’ll end up wishing you had started sooner. But at the same time, school isn’t just about grades, it’s also about friendships, the fun moments, and the experiences that shape you. Work hard but also make time for the things that make high school memorable. That way, you’ll leave not just with good results, but with no regrets.”
