Senior Student Highlight: Koy Sovannisa

Koy Sovannisa (Academic Year 2025-2026) – super-duper awesome sauce

Favorite Quote: “Carpe Diem” – Horace’s Odes

An interesting fact about Nisa is that she collects all sorts of things, books, collectibles, and photos, each with a story waiting to be told. She believes that everything holds a memory waiting to be discovered, which is why she enjoys collecting. As she grows, these items grow with her, coming together to form pieces of her life.

Her favorite subject is Economics because studying Microeconomics with Mr. Radley was one of the best decisions she has made. Although she sometimes struggled with the subject, Mr. Radley made the class more enjoyable, which motivated her to learn more and study harder. The most challenging assignment for Nisa is presentations because they push her out of her comfort zone, as she experiences stage fright and often feels nervous speaking in front of others. She believes the subject that will prepare her most for life after high school is English because it develops communication skills, allowing her to understand information, express ideas clearly, and write effectively. Strong communication skills are essential everywhere.

Outside of school, Nisa has been involved in volleyball training and community service activities, including running and donating for charity. Her most memorable moments at AUPPHS-FA are spending time with her friends. Going on field trips together has been one of the best ways to bond and grow closer. She cherishes every moment and memory shared with her friends, as they are what make school more enjoyable.

After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Nisa plans to travel and spend time with her family and friends in Cambodia before continuing her studies abroad. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Everyone writes their story at their own pace. Don’t rush yours.”
