Eam Sokunthea (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Bittersweet, stressful, memorable
Favorite Quote: “You must always have faith in people. And, most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.” -Elle Woods
An interesting fact about Sokunthea is that she expresses her ideas and emotions through painting. Creating art helps calm her mind, relieve stress, and teaches her to be patient with whatever she is working on. She also enjoys taking photos and making them aesthetic to preserve memories, as she believes that while people and circumstances may change, photographs remain the same.
Her favorite subject is AP Pre-Calculus, as it strengthens her foundation for Calculus. The most challenging subject for her has been Chemistry, particularly balancing equations. She believes AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics will best prepare her for university, as they align with her intended business major and provide insight into real-world economic issues.
Outside of school, Sokunthea helps her family on weekends by working on business invoices. One of her most memorable experiences at AUPPHS-FA has been spending time with friends, sharing laughter, joy, and even difficult moments while simply being themselves.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Sokunthea plans to continue her studies with a major in Business. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “High school will be over before you’ll know it, cherish the moment while you can.”
