An interesting fact about Panha is that she has an unhealthy obsession with having something sweet at least once a day, whether it’s a dessert or a drink. Another fun fact is that at the beginning of almost every school year, Miss Ling would mistake her for an 8th grader!
Her favorite subject is Macroeconomics because she finds it both fun and engaging. She enjoys how the subject encourages her to connect economic concepts to real-life situations, making learning more meaningful and practical. The most challenging subject for Panha is AP Statistics because it pushed her to change her study habits and adapt her environment in order to succeed. She believes the subject that will prepare her most for life after high school is Research because it closely reflects the type of work she expects to encounter in college. Since higher education involves many projects, papers, and assignments, Research has helped her become more familiar with that academic environment and develop the skills needed to thrive in it.
Outside of school, Panha enjoys drawing and exploring different forms of art in her free time. Her most memorable moments at AUPPHS-FA were hosting Art Club events with her fellow club members and friends. She loved creating opportunities for others to engage with art and especially enjoyed seeing the smiles and excitement of participants during the events. After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Panha plans to pursue either Interior Design or Digital Marketing abroad. However, she is also considering staying in Cambodia and remaining close to home. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Being able to trust yourself throughout any kind of situation.”
