Jethanun Ratana (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Busy, Chaotic, memorable

Favorite Quote: “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” -Tom hanks

An interesting fact about him is that he is capable of playing multiple sports, although he rarely participates in them apart from football. He is also known for being someone who enjoys helping the people around him whenever he can.

His favorite subjects are Calculus and Khmer because he enjoys the teaching styles of the instructors and finds both subjects fun to study. They are also the subjects he understands best. The most challenging subjects for Ratana were Research and Physics because they require strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of complex concepts. In Physics, he must apply formulas and understand how different concepts connect with one another. He believes the subjects that will prepare him most for life after high school are Physics and Calculus because they are closely related to the major he plans to pursue at university. Beyond formulas, these subjects teach logical thinking, problem-solving, and a better understanding of how things work in the real world.

Outside of school, Ratana enjoys playing football and participating in community service activities. These experiences help him stay active while developing teamwork and leadership skills. Through volunteering, he has learned the importance of helping others and making a positive impact on the community, while football helps him relieve stress and maintain discipline. His most memorable moments at AUPPHS-FA were participating in Sports Day, attending prom, and representing the school in the CRO Robotics Competition. After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Ratana plans to enjoy his summer and take some time to relax before starting university. He also hopes to recover quickly from his surgery so he can return to participating in outdoor activities. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Do it before it’s too late.”
