Ly Rattanaksamnang (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Stressful, Fun, Exciting
Favorite Quote: ” Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”-Winston Churchill
An interesting fact about him is that he has competed in national-level table tennis tournaments. He also enjoys learning about business and understanding how successful companies operate.
His favorite subject is Economics because he enjoys studying money, markets, and how people’s decisions affect the world around them. The subject gives him a deeper understanding of how economic systems work and how they influence everyday life. The most challenging assignment for Samnang was the Research Capstone because it pushed him to develop stronger time management skills, improve his critical thinking, and strengthen his ability to analyze complex information. He believes the subjects that will prepare him most for life after high school are Calculus and Microeconomics because they have taught him to think critically, solve complex problems, make data-driven decisions, and understand how different systems function.
Outside of school, Samnang is actively involved in sports, particularly table tennis, where he competes at a high level in Cambodia. He also helps his family with various business projects and enjoys playing the guitar. His most memorable moments at AUPPHS-FA were spending time with his friends and sharing laughs over random things. After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Samnang plans to spend time with his family and friends, start a small business, and then move to Australia to continue his education. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Push through every challenge, no matter how difficult it seems, finish what you start—it will always be worth it.”
