Siv Piseth Seithakun (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Precious, Procrastinate, Panic

Favorite Quote: “Life is just a game we play together, you should try to enjoy it” – Mira; Alice In Borderland

An interesting fact about him is that he works better in the dark and when deadlines are very close.

His favorite subjects are Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra II because they are mostly objective, meaning there is always a correct answer that is not influenced by personal feelings or opinions. He also strongly favors subjects related to math, such as Physics, because he enjoys tedious calculations and arriving at precise answers. The most challenging assignment for Seithakun is the Research Capstone Project because it is time-consuming and requires a great deal of attention and focus to complete on time. It also demands extensive reading and critical thinking—much more than what he was used to in the subjects he studied in the past. He believes the subject that will prepare him most for life after high school is Research because of the amount of research he will need to do in college or university, and this subject helps prepare him for that early on.

Outside of school, Seithakun volunteered during the summer at an organization dedicated to teaching Cambodians skills such as technology, English, and how to start a business. Aside from that, he has not been heavily involved in extracurricular activities, except for participating in math competitions. His most memorable moment at AUPPHS-FA was performing during the 2025 Halloween festival.

After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Seithakun plans to stay in Cambodia for a few months to fully explore and appreciate his home country before going abroad to study. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “To not beat yourself up when you fail a single quiz, test, or project, but to just learn from your mistake and try to do better next time.”
