Chea Pichmalina (Academic Year 2025-2026) – bittersweet, memorable, nostalgic
Favorite Quote: “its very important to surround yourself with people that see you fully” -sza
An interesting fact about Malina is that she has a lazy eye, but she still refuses to wear glasses, so her eyes sometimes cross when she zones out.
Her favorite subjects are English and Calculus, especially during her junior year, because her teachers were fun and made the lessons enjoyable. The most challenging subject for Malina is Research Capstone because it strongly challenges her writing and thinking skills, and it takes a long time to complete. She believes the subject that will prepare her the most for life after high school is Economics, as it teaches practical skills such as making smart decisions and managing money wisely.
Outside of school, Malina volunteers at events, goes on runs, and attends robam (Khmer traditional dance) classes on the weekends. Her most memorable moments at AUPPHS-FA include prom, decorating for events with her friends, and grabbing lunch together after school on Fridays.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Malina plans to make the most of her summer break before university by traveling and spending time with her friends. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA is: “Everyone grows at their own pace. You’re not behind; you’re just on your own path. Trust yourself, keep going, and things will work out.”
