Sam Sokunvisith (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Stress, Fun, Yolo

An interesting fact about Sokunvisith is that he experienced two life-threatening accidents and tore his ACL, which left him unable to walk for a whole month, all within the same year.
His favorite subject is Robotics, especially because of Mr. Nakul and the flexibility the class offered. The most challenging subject for him was Physics, as it is a very complex subject that requires a great deal of brainpower. Whenever he worked on Physics assignments, he felt completely mentally drained. He believes that Microeconomics and Macroeconomics prepare him best for life after high school because they teach him about the financial world and may help him start a business in the future.
Outside of school, Sokunvisith participated in sports during Grades 10 and 11, including badminton and volleyball. One of his most memorable experiences at AUPPHS-FA was spending time with his classmates and close group of friends.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Sokunvisith plans to study Business at AUPP University and travel. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Detention is a pain.”
