An interesting fact about Likaangerla is that she loves outdoor activities and believes there is always something new to explore. She also collects cameras and enjoys experimenting with different types of film.
Her favorite subject is Khmer because it is an enjoyable class that makes her feel more connected to her culture while still having fun learning. She finds it less stressful than many of her other classes. The most challenging subject for her has been Chemistry, as she jokingly says her brain “refuses to bond with science the way atoms are supposed to bond.” She believes AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics have prepared her most for life after high school because they align with her intended career path and provide a strong foundation for understanding how the world functions.
Outside of school, Likaangerla has participated in many extracurricular activities, but one of her favorites is joining charity runs. Through these events, she helps support meaningful causes, spends time with friends, and starts her day on a positive note. One of her most memorable experiences at AUPPHS-FA is the constant laughter, whether it was joking around with friends or teachers joining in the fun. The bonding moments with her classmates felt timeless, and many of those memories were captured on camera, allowing her to relive them anytime.
After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, Likaangerla plans to attend college in the United States, explore new places, visit many cafés, and continue finding ways to give back to her community. Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Don’t let stress take over! Worry about school, but don’t forget to care for yourself and treat yourself to some yummy food!!”
