Senior Student Highlight: Thay Sunheng

Thay Sunheng (Academic Year 2025-2026) – Exciting, stressful, fun.
Favorite Quote: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” – Albert Einstein

An interesting fact about Sunheng is that he enjoys traveling and exploring different countries.

He likes Calculus because he believes math is the foundation of everything, understanding it helps pave the way for the future, and he finds it genuinely fun. The Research Capstone project was particularly challenging for him, as it requires strong time management and extensive research to complete a single project. However, he believes this subject prepares him well for life after high school by teaching critical thinking and effective time management skills.

Outside of school, Sunheng has participated in charity marathons and helped the school during parent-teacher conferences. His favorite memory at AUPPHS-FA was the field trip to Safari World during his time in Grade 9A.

After graduating from AUPPHS-FA, he plans to attend a university in Australia to pursue a Bachelor of Laws. His advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA is: “Study for life, not for grades, a lesson I learned from Mr. Muthu.”
