Mr. Leo Sytian

Sciences Teacher

Leo Sytian is a Physics Teacher with over seven years of international teaching experience in British (Cambridge) curriculum schools. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Northern Philippines, graduating with Distinction, and is TESOL certified. He is also currently pursuing a Professional Teaching Certification from the University of the Philippines.

Leo has taught in Sierra Leone and Myanmar, where he handled Key Stage 3 Science, Mathematics, Geography, and Global Perspectives, as well as IGCSE and A-Level Physics. In Myanmar, he was part of the founding faculty, playing a key role in establishing the secondary science program, organizing the school’s first and successive Science Fairs, and leading student clubs such as Public Speaking and Homework Club.

Before transitioning to full-time teaching, Leo worked in retail, online ESL instruction, and the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, where he advanced from customer service representative to supervisor. These diverse professional experiences developed his communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, which now strengthen his classroom practice.

His teaching philosophy is student-centered, aiming to make science more accessible and engaging for all learners. He balances lectures with interactive activities and laboratory experiments to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in students of diverse backgrounds.
