Favorite Quote: “You don’t have to have it all figured out right now. Just keep showing up and doing your best, and everything will fall into place.”
An interesting fact about Povsreymom is that she enjoys watching Chinese dramas in her free time and loves traveling.
Her favorite subject is AP Calculus because she truly enjoys solving calculus problems. She finds them fascinating and never boring. The subject challenges her to think critically and solve problems quickly, which keeps her engaged and excited to learn more. Her most challenging assignment has been the Research Capstone, as she often runs out of words to write and feels nervous when presenting in front of others. She also gets anxious submitting her work to the professor, unsure of whether she’s done it right. Despite these challenges, she is learning to manage her feelings and grow more confident.
She believes that English classes have prepared her most for life after high school, as English is the global language of communication. Proficiency in English opens the door to better career opportunities, international networking, and access to valuable knowledge and resources.
During her time at AUPPHS-FA, Povsreymom has actively participated in community service with friends. Together, they’ve joined charity marathons, cleaned public areas, and supported orphanages. These experiences were especially meaningful, allowing her to give back to the community and understand the value of teamwork and compassion. Some of her favorite memories include gossiping with her friends and working hard together to earn good grades.
After graduation, she plans to continue her studies in the United States. She believes studying abroad will offer her new perspectives, academic growth, and cultural exchange. She is excited to immerse herself in a new environment and pursue her goals.
Her advice to juniors at AUPPHS-FA: “Never procrastinate, give your best effort, it’s your final year of high school, don’t leave regret for the future.”
